FAQ

Before the examination, please ensure that your chosen family doctor sends your personal medical file to the Clinic in Novo mesto at the address Ljubljanska cesta 3, 8000 Novo mesto or to the Clinic in Ljubljana at the address Vilharjev podhod 19, 1000 Ljubljana. The doctor will be able to access your health history and prescribe appropriate tests.

Please come at the time of your appointment. Upon arrival, the nurse will ask you to fill a questionnaire. The questionnaire is designed to obtain information about your health history. First, we will do tests, and then you will talk to the doctor. You will give a urine and blood sample. The entire examination will be performed at the location, and you will be able to go back to work within two to four hours, depending on the type of work you do.

We will be interested in your health status and health issues, as well as your lifestyle, eating habits, exercise, smoking, alcohol consumption, family illnesses, and how stressed you are at work.

Each job has its own specifics, so the examinations are tailored to the individual. The doctor will prescribe an exact list of tests on the day of the examination.

We measure your weight and height, blood pressure, we perform an ECG, vision, hearing and balance tests, blood and urine sampling, and other examinations as needed. The tests vary depending on the risk assessment of the job in question.

We check for the presence of drugs or other prohibited substances at the request of the employer or in case of medical indications.

The duration of the examination depends on the type of job. Usually, it takes from two to four hours.

You need to fast for at least 6 hours before the examination. You can drink water or unsweetened tea; you can also take medication if you are prescribed regular treatment. We will take a blood and urine sample for the examination.
