Most often, your GP will refer you to a cardiologist. It is a good idea to see a cardiologist for a preventive examination, especially if you suffer from high blood pressure, chest pain, or have difficulties breathing.

The cardiac stress test is a test performed with a stationary bicycle to evaluate the function of your heart, lungs, blood vessels, and muscles. This way, we can see if you have narrowed coronary arteries. The evaluation of physical performance helps us to plan treatment and exercise regimens for patients with coronary disease, congestive heart failure, heart arrhythmias, and heart valve diseases, as well as determine the physical capacity of healthy individuals.

Heart ultrasound is intended to help us discover and monitor cardiovascular disease. With heart ultrasound we can see:

  • heart size
  • heart activity
  • heart blood flow
  • status and function of heart valves
  • blood clots
  • congenital or acquired heart defects
  • heart function after a heart attack
  • inflammation of the pericardium, inflammation of the heart muscle
  • heart function with elevated blood pressure
  • heart function in diabetes
  • heart rhythm disorders
  • condition of the aorta…

Of course, it is a good idea to perform a heart ultrasound as a preventive measure. With this examination, we can detect pathologies at an early stage, before health issues appear and thereby prevent serious complications.

Wear comfortable clothes. You need to remove your clothing from the waist up. Please bring any heart test results that you might already have and a list of medications you are taking.

It is an ultrasound examination of the carotid artery using Doppler sonography. The scan tests for early stages of atherosclerosis.

Preventive abdominal ultrasound examination is recommended as pathological changes are visible much earlier than the first symptoms of disease. The test confirms or excludes the possibility of diseases of the abdominal or pelvic organs, and can be used to monitor the state of disease or a treatment thereof.

Wear comfortable clothes. Do not eat for 4-6 hours before the test – you may drink water. You should not drink sweet beverages, coffee, etc. Please come to the examination with a full bladder.

With a neck ultrasound we can see the state of your thyroid, parathyroid and salivary glands, lymph nodes, and evaluate painful or not painful subcutaneous forms or swelling. It also allows us to monitor pathological conditions and their treatment.

It is an examination of testicles that is performed when tumour, inflammation or vascular disease is suspected.
